September 1, 2012, We were visited by the BAT MAN!

Today, Terry Lobdell, or “The Bat Man” came to visit us and spoke to a group of us about how useful bats are for agricultural areas. We learned interesting facts about bat houses and that our area has eight to nine different bats. It was interesting to see that we have two bats living in the bat house on the shelter! Yes they are working! Terry also showed us a variety of bat houses. It was interesting to learn neat details about the bats that fly and keep our insects and mosquitoes to a tolerance! thank you Terry for coming out!
